Location: Sunbiggin, Wigginton

Client Overview

Ian approached Solar Synergy Solutions with a clear objective: reduce reliance on the grid and protect his household from rising energy costs. Living in the rural village of Sunbiggin, Ian wanted a smart system that would generate clean energy during the day and store excess power for use in the evenings.

Our team designed and installed a tailored solar and battery solution that gives Ian control over his energy usage — all while keeping future scalability in mind.

    • Solar PV: Tier 1 monocrystalline panels (roof-mounted)

    • Battery Storage: 5.8 kWh Fox ESS lithium-ion battery

    • Inverter: Hybrid Fox ESS inverter

    • Monitoring: Fox app for live tracking and system control

  • Ian’s goal was long-term energy resilience. With limited grid support in rural Wigginton and increasing electricity prices, he needed a system that could maximise solar use, store energy efficiently, and provide insights into his consumption habits — without requiring daily management or manual intervention.

  • We installed a high-performance solar PV system with a Fox ESS hybrid inverter and battery, allowing Ian to capture daytime solar energy and use it after sunset. The system was optimised to prioritise self-consumption and ease of use. The Fox app provides real-time visibility into energy generation, usage, and storage.

The clean, compact installation required no structural upgrades and integrated smoothly with Ian’s existing electrical system.

    • Energy Independence: Substantial reduction in grid reliance

    • Cost Savings: Significantly lower electricity bills

    • Smart Control: Live system monitoring and performance insights

    • Low Maintenance: Set-and-forget system with automatic energy management

    • Future-Ready: Scalable with potential for EV charger or additional battery storage

    • Clean, renewable energy generated on-site

    • Lower carbon footprint for household energy use

    • Reduced strain on rural grid infrastructure
